Jonathan is the founder of Z Investment Partners and has over 20 years’ experience in capital markets and financial services. He was formerly a member of the Global Partnership Committee and Global Head of Structured Capital Markets at Barclays Capital, where he worked for over 15 years. Jonathan qualified as a chartered accountant and a chartered tax advisor at Arthur Andersen and graduated in History from St John's College, Cambridge. Jonathan chaired Enso Financial Analytics until April 2016 when it was acquired by ICAP. During his tenure as Chairman the business grew from a fin tech start-up to an 80 person operation with some of the world’s largest hedge funds and investment banks using its platform
Partner and CEO
Graham joined as a Partner and Chief Executive Officer in April 2015. Prior to his current role Graham worked in Barclays’ investment bank for over 13 years. Graham was a member of the Markets Management Committee and was Global Head of the Structured Capital Markets until its closure in 2013 when he oversaw a significant restructuring of Barclays various structuring businesses. Prior to joining Barclays, Graham trained as a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche and graduated in Mathematics from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge
Partner and Portfolio Manager
Carmina joined as a partner and portfolio manager in February 2016. Carmina has thirteen years of experience in treasury, structuring and capital markets. Before joining Z Investment Patners LLP, Carmina worked for over five years at Barclays in the Structured Capital Markets team and more recently held the role of Iberia Treasurer. Carmina has a BA in Financial Management from ITESM, a MSc in International Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics and a MLitt in Fine and Decorative Arts from Glasgow University/Christie’s Education.
Marc Rubinstein joined the firm in September 2016 as a partner. He has over 20 years experience in financial markets as a portfolio manager and analyst in the banks sector. Up until March 2016 he was a partner at Lansdowne Partners, where he spent ten years on the team that ran the award-winning Lansdowne Global Financials Fund. Prior to that he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse where he headed up the European banks equity research group. Marc also spent time at Schroder Securities and began his career at Barclays de Zoete Wedd after completing an honours degree in Mathematics from St Catherine's College, Oxford University.
Dr Alex Brassey
Strategy Advisor and Consultant
Alex’s experience over the period from 1993 to 2016 spans a number of sectors including investment banking, structuring, law and retail finance. Alex has worked in investment banking with BZW, Citibank, Lehman Brothers and SMBC. He has many years of market making experience as well as dealing with U/HNW advisory and structuring. Alex works closely with a wide range of IFAs across the full product range of retail and non-retail clientele. Alex’s educational background includes a BSc (Hons), Management Sciences (UMIST), MA in Philosophy (KCL), LLM in Corporate Law, (College of Law), PhD in Psychology (UCL). Alex is currently working on another PhD in Law at University of Cambridge and is a qualified solicitor and notary.
Jessica joined Z Investment Partners as an associate in March 2016 with 5 years’ previous experience in structuring and fund management. She previously worked at NIBC focusing on fund structuring, receivables financing and securitisation (CLOs, RMBS). Prior to this she worked for Catalyst Microfinance Investors / ASA International specialising in fund management and emerging market microfinance in SE Asia and Africa. Jessica also spent time at Rabobank M&A and started her career at Thomson Reuters in 2009. Jessica holds a BSc in Business (Finance) with a minor in Physics from the University of Minnesota and an MSc in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam.
Srishti joined Z Investment Partners as an analyst in March 2016. Previously she worked as an Economist for the Bank of England, during the height of the European Debt Crisis between 2011 and 2012, and for Strategy&|PwC thereafter. Her work at PwC included impact assessments of financial regulations on market liquidity and structuring innovative development finance deals. Srishti holds a BSc (Hons) Economics and Politics from University of Bath. Srishti has recently completed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) with a view to completing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program in due course.
Brij joined Z Investment Partners as an analyst in September 2014, having graduated in Classics (BA Hons) from University College London earlier that year. He completed the Investment Management Certificate in January 2016 with a view to completing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program in due course.
Chris joined Z Investment Partners as the Financial Controller in December 2016. Prior to this Chris worked at Mirabaud Securities for over 6 years where he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA). Whilst at Mirabaud he gained accounting experience at both buy side and sell side companies. Chris holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Leicester and has completed his Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
Wen Joined Z Investment Partners as an analyst in November 2016 having recently graduated with an MSc in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing from University of Oxford. Prior to the master, she finished her BA (Hons) in Mathematics from Oriel College, University of Oxford. During her study in Oxford, Wen participated in modelling projects across diverse scientific areas such as fluid dynamics, climate science and mathematical finance. Wen is supporting the Portfolio Management function whilst working towards the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
Leanne joined Z Investment Partners as Executive Assistant to Jonathan Zenios and Graham Wade in December 2016. Prior to this Leanne worked at Barclays Investment Bank for 6 years as an Assistant in the European COO team and then at a small private finance group, working with family offices.
